Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using FirFir, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the app.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use FirFir. You are required to state your date of birth truthfully during registration. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be closed.

3. Your Account and Responsibilities

Regarding your account:

• You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide during registration (name, date of birth, email address, etc.) is accurate and up to date.
• You may only create an account for yourself; creating accounts on behalf of others or with a false identity is not allowed.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
• If you notice unauthorized use of your account, you must notify us immediately.

4. Community Rules

FirFir has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The following behavior is prohibited in the app:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination,
• Impersonating another person or creating misleading profiles,
• Sharing obscene, violent or illegal content,
• Asking other users for money, fraud, or unsolicited commercial promotion (spam),
• Sharing other users' personal information without consent,
• Attempts to bypass the app's security or damage its systems.

These rules apply everywhere in the app, including anonymous chat rooms; anonymity does not protect behavior that breaks them. Content that violates the rules is removed, and accounts violating these rules may be suspended or permanently closed without prior warning.

5. Your Content

The photos you upload and the texts you write belong to you. By uploading them, you allow us to use them only to the extent necessary for the app to function (such as showing your profile to other users).

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate third-party rights. You may not use photos belonging to someone else without permission.

6. Reporting and Blocking

You can report or block users and content that violate the rules from the menu on profile cards, chats, events and chat rooms. Objectionable words in messages are filtered automatically. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours; content that violates the rules is removed and action is taken against the account that posted it. Blocked users cannot see you or message you.

7. Location Features

The map and nearby-users features rely on location sharing and are optional. Be careful with people you plan to meet in real life; we recommend meeting in busy, safe public places for first meetings. FirFir cannot be held responsible for meetings between users.

8. Limitation of Liability

FirFir does not guarantee the accuracy of information in user profiles; users are responsible for exercising due care in communication and meetings with other users.

The BFF AI companion is not a real person; its replies may be inaccurate and are not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Türkiye).

The app is provided "as is"; uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. The service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, updates or technical reasons.

9. Account Termination

You can close your account at any time under Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. FirFir reserves the right to suspend or close your account in case of violation of these terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. You will be notified in the app of significant changes. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
